Day 1 Place & Transport: Arrive in Beijing, Flight not included Todays Activities: Airport to Hotel Transfer (Beijing)
Day 2 Place & Transport: Beijing Todays Activities: Great Wall, Mutianyu, Sacred Way (Ming Tombs), Mutianyu Cable Car(round trip), Roasted Duck at Hepingmen Quanjude Meals: Breakfast, Chinese Lunch, Chinese Dinner --Mutianyu Great Wall: This less-crowded section of the Great Wall is a pleasant drive 90km NE of Beijing. A cable car takes you to a good section (avoiding a very steep climb), where you can walk along the wall, through the watch towers and enjoy superb views as it snakes across the hills and mountains. You can return by cable car, walk down or walk along the wall for about an hour to descend by chairlift. Wear good walking shoes and protection from the weather. - Sacred Way (Ming Tombs): An attractive tree-lined walk which leads to the Ming Tombs, this is bordered by 12 sets each of animal and human statues, and includes the attractive Great Red Gate, housing a stele on the back of a tortoise, and marble memorial archway. --Mutianyu Cable Car(round trip): It is a challenging climb up to the Mutianyu Great Wall for it is much steeper than Badaling section. Here you have the option of taking the Cable car to the highest point or down to the foot in a few minutes instead of climbing more than 1,400 steps, while you can also have a bird view of the wall. --Roasted Duck at Quanjude: In the evening enjoy the Peking Roasted Duck which is renowned as the most delicious food of Beijing
Day 3 Place & Transport: Beijing Todays Activities: The Tiananmen Square, The Forbidden City, Temple of Heaven Meals: Breakfast --The Tiananmen Square: The worlds largest city square and enduring symbol of Chinas national pride, surrounded by many imposing buildings including the Heavenly Gate (entry to the Forbidden City), Museums, government buildings and Chairman Maos Mausoleum. --The Forbidden City: The Imperial Palace, home to 24 Emperors between 1420 and 1911. Great squares, halls and gates contrast with the intricate networks of side halls, gardens, courtyards and quarters for those who lived in this city within a city. The exhibitions, both permanent and temporary, are also absolutely fascinating. Expect to spend at least 2-3 hours, wear good walking shoes and protection from the weather. --Temple of Heaven: One of the most famous sites in Beijing, this is Ming architecture at its best: beautiful, controlled, and highly symbolic. The surrounding gardens are full of interesting activity, particularly weekend mornings. Wear good walking shoes and protection from the weather.
Day 4 Place & Transport: Beijing to Xian Todays Activities: Hotel to airport Transfer (Beijing), Airport to Hotel Transfer (Xian), Summer Palace, Hutong Tours in Rickshaw Meals: Breakfast, Chinese Lunch --Summer Palace: Much-loved summer retreat of the Imperial families, the lovely landscaped gardens, halls, pavilions and corridors are set around the lake and rivers in natural harmony. You can expect to spend 2-3 hours here, including a 10 minute boat ride. Renovations (complete in 2010) mean that an individual section or building may be closed at any one time, but this is a huge site. Wear good walking shoes and protection from the weather. --Hutong Tours in Rickshaw: A maze of historic alleyways and old single storey traditional courtyard houses, now fast disappearing. Dotted around the hutong are the Drum and Bell Towers, Kindergarten, Tea House, and local peoples houses. Your tour includes a visit with a local family.
Day 5 Place & Transport: Xian Todays Activities: Big Wild Goose Pagoda, Terra Cotta Warriors and Horses(include golf carts), Xian Stele Forest Museum, Evening Show at Tang Yuegong Meals: Breakfast, Chinese Lunch --Big Wild Goose Pagoda: The pagoda (7 floors,64.5meters high) where widely renowned Master Xuanzang (Monk Tripitaka) stored his classics brought from India. It is the landmark of the ancient capital city - Xian. --Terra Cotta Warriors and Horses(include golf carts): This incredible 2000 year-old army of life-sized warriors, each one unique, is part of the underground tomb of the Emperor Qin. Well over 7000 figures were drawn up in full battle array in several large pits. Many of the figures, including soldiers, archers, horses and chariots, have been restored, and the repairs and excavations continue at the site where you can see both repaired and broken warriors in a truly impressive display. There is also an excellent museum, including bronze chariots unearthed nearby, and a film about the history and discovery of the tomb.From parking place to the entrance ,it will take you bout 15 minutes on foot,so China Highlights serve you the golf cart.This Terra Cotta Warriors and Horses is about 35 km from Xian --Xian Stele Forest Museum: With 900 years of history, this treasure house holds a large collection of the earliest stone steles of different periods, from the Han Dynasty to the Qing Dynasty. All together, there are 3,000 steles and the museum is divided into seven exhibition halls, which mainly display calligraphy, painting and historical records. All of these record some achievement in the development of the Chinese culture and reflect the historical facts of the cultural exchange between China and other countries. --Evening Show: The show that presents the palace dances and sings in the Tang Dynasty when Xian was the capital of ancient China.
Day 6 Place & Transport: Xian to Shanghai Todays Activities: Hotel to airport Transfer (Xian), Airport to Hotel Transfer (Shanghai), Xian City Wall, Shaanxi Historical Museum Meals: Breakfast, Chinese Lunch --Xian City Wall: Built in the Ming dynasty over 700 years ago, the Xian City Wall is the most complete ancient city wall in China. The wall measures around 13.9 km in circumference, 12 meters in height, 18 meters wide at its base while 15 meters wide on the top. It is a fine example of Chinas ancient defensive fortifications that were formed over 2,000 years ago, and continued even to the last imperial era of the Qing Dynasty. The wall reflects a brilliant beauty at night when the area is lit up by colorful lights. --Shaanxi Historical Museum: The large-scale modern State-class museum, is situated at the western side of the "Wild Goose Pagoda" in Xian City. It covers an area of about 70,000 square meters, the architectural area of which is 55,000 odd square meters. It was completed on June 20, 1991 and open to the public.
Day 7 Place & Transport: Shanghai Todays Activities: Nanjing Road, Yuyuan Garden, Jade Buddha Temple, The Bund Meals: Breakfast, Chinese Lunch --Nanjing Road: Shanghais main shopping street, known as "the No.1 commercial street of China", also one of the most prosperous streets in Asia. Like a lying dragon shining day and night, stretching from the Bund east towards Hongqiao, with Peoples Square in the middle. --Yuyuan Garden: A traditional Chinese park decorated by beautiful pavilions, miniature lakes, bridges and rock formations. Yuyuan Garden is not only a famous classical garden in South China, but also a major historic and cultural site under state protection. --Jade Buddha Temple: It is one of the main tourist highlights in Shanghai and its also the most active temple in China. If youre lucky, you can watch the monks serving ceremony in a side room. --The Bund: This spot in the city is home to a myriad of European-styled buildings that face the Huangpu River. Home to chic restaurants and shopping opportunities, the Bund is a must-see site when visiting Shanghai. Architectural styles include gothic, baroque, Romanesque, and renaissance. Being the most imposing spectacle in Shanghai, the Bund has been seen as the embodiment of Shanghai for a long time.
Day 8 Place & Transport: Shanghai to Yellow Mountain Todays Activities: Hotel to airport Transfer (Shanghai), Airport to Hotel Transfer (Yellow Mountain), Oriental Pearl TV Tower, Shanghai Museum Meals: Breakfast, Chinese Lunch --Oriental Pearl TV Tower: Standing by the Huangpu River with 468 meters high, Oriental Pearl TV Tower is the highest TV Tower in Asia (up to the last floor to see Shanghai scenery).It is a new landmark of Shanghai in 21st century. --Shanghai Museum: The biggest museum in China, with a collection of over 120,000 pieces of Chinese art & cultural relics. The museum is especially famous for its treasures of bronzes, ceramics, paintings, and calligraphy.

Day 10 Place & Transport: Yellow Mountain to Suzhou, Train No. N517/N520 Dep 10:30PM - Arr 8:20AM Todays Activities: Hotel to Train station Transfer (Yellow Mountain), Shexian Tangyue Stone Arches, Tunxi Acient Street, Ink Stone Factory Meals: Breakfast, Chinese Lunch --Shexian Tangyue Stone Arches: Known as the "Town of Arch", Shexian county in Huangshan city is a must for visitors to experience some fine examples of residential architecture and memorial arches from Ming and Qing dynasties. Paifang is an arch usually made of fine wood or stone,as memorial and decoration. In Tangyue,Shexian county,there are thousands of arches scattered around. It is the best place to explore the social culture in Chinas feudal society. --Tunxi Acient Street: Its located in the center of the old city of Tunxi,there are hundreds of old but well preserved rows of shops, evoking a bygone era in buildings that are simple and elegant. It is a commercial street that is only for pedestrians. --Ink Stone Factory: Ink Stone is the most important part of "Four Treasures of the Study". Because of its solid texture, ink stone can be handed down from ancient times. The Ink Stone Factory in Hangshan is one of the most famous ink stone factories in China, where you can see the whole working process.
Day 11 Place & Transport: Suzhou Todays Activities: The Grand Canal, Panmen Gate, Lingering Garden, The No.1 Silk Factory Meals: Breakfast, Chinese Lunch --The Grand Canal: The Grand Canal ranks alongside the Great Wall of China as the countrys greatest engineering achievement and it is the longest man-made waterway in world. Cruising on the Canal, you can see the local peoples life. --Panmen Gate: Pan Gate is an ancient city gate with land and water entrances. Once, a gate with land and water entrances was quite typical in ancient China. However, Pan Gate is the only one left. --Lingering Garden: Suzhou is famous for its gardens. The Lingering Garden is an elaborate succession of small gardens. Lingering in the garden you will marvel at its unique architecture and art. It is located on No.338 Liuyuan Road, Suzhou City. --The No.1 Silk Factory: Suzhou is also famous for its silk production. In the factory you can see how the silk is processed from the silk worm to the final woven cloth.
Day 12 Place & Transport: Suzhou to Shanghai to Guilin Todays Activities: Airport to Hotel Transfer (Guilin), Reed Flute Cave, Elephant Trunk Hill Meals: Breakfast, Chinese Lunch --Reed Flute Cave: Known as the Palace of Natural Arts this large and well-presented cave system has some remarkable formations. Make sure you have some small change for the children who sell flutes for as little as one yuan if youve got nothing less than a dollar youll end up with their whole stock. --Elephant Trunk Hill: At the confluence of Li River and Peach Blossom River in the southwest of Guilin city It is a national 4A scenery spot. The Water Moon Cave is close to the river. The water flows through it and the cave looks like a moon floating in the water. The stone drooped into the water like an elephant drinking the water of the Li River.
Day 13 Place & Transport: Guilin Todays Activities: Li River Cruise Meals: Breakfast, Chinese Lunch --Li River Cruise: A cruise along the Li River between Guilin and Yangshuo is an unforgettable experience. As you take in the stunning scenery theres something interesting to see at almost every bend in the river. Between spectacular limestone peaks youll see graceful bamboo groves, farmers tending rice paddies, and lumbering water buffaloes pulling carts or cooling off in the river. You may see fishermen gliding along on their narrow bamboo rafts, and if youre very lucky you might see one of the famous fishing cormorants. Boats depart from various wharves, according to the height of the river at different times of the year.
Day 14 Place & Transport: Guilin to Guangzhou ,Depart Guangzhou, connect Flight not included Todays Activities: Hotel to airport Transfer (Guilin),Airport Transfer (Guangzhou), Guangzhou Zhongshan Memorial Hall, Chen Ancestral Shrine, Shamian Island Meals: Breakfast, Chinese Lunch --Guangzhou Zhongshan Memorial Hall: Guangzhou Zhongshan Memorial Hall is really a magnificent building in the shape of octangle. It is not only one of the symbolic constructions in Guangzhou with its majestic appearance and the infused rich Chinese national color, but also an important place for large scale meeting and performance. --Chen Ancestral Shrine: Nest to the Chen Ancestral Shrine Subway Station, No.7 Zhongshan Road, Liwan District, Chen Ancestral Shrine is a typical symbol of Lingnan traditional architecture achievement and is reputed as "Pearl of Lingnan Architecture". --Shamian Island: Shamian Island is the colonial area developed in 1843 by the British. From the 18th to the mid 19th century, it is the only place where foreign traders were permitted to set up their warehouses and factories- a reminder of Guangzhous colonial history. Now it is connected to the rest of the city by a series of bridges. The architecture is very European, especially some beautiful Catholic churches. The park area along the river is a great place for sightseeing. Walk along the wide sidewalks and enjoy a meal in the open-air under the old trees, this will leave you with a nice memory. It is also a place for local people to relax and enjoy their leisure life.
