This tour should be called "The Trip of a Lifetime". This tours cover all of the most renowned sites in China - The Great Wall, the Entombed Warriors, Yangtze River & Three Gorges and Tibet and much more.

Day 2

Todays Activities: The Forbidden City, The Tiananmen Square

--The Forbidden City: The Imperial Palace, home to 24 Emperors between 1420 and 1911. Great squares, halls and gates contrast with the intricate networks of side halls, gardens, courtyards and quarters for those who lived in this city within a city. The exhibitions, both permanent and temporary, are also absolutely fascinating. Expect to spend at least 2-3 hours, wear good walking shoes and protection from the weather.
--The Tiananmen Square: The worlds largest city square and enduring symbol of Chinas national pride, surrounded by many imposing buildings including the Heavenly Gate (entry to the Forbidden City), Museums, government buildings and Chairman Maos Mausoleum.
--Beijing Roasted Duck: In the evening enjoy the Peking Roasted Duck which is renowned as the most delicious food of Beijing

Day 3
Place & Transport: Beijing
Todays Activities: Great Wall at Mutianyu, Sacred Way (Ming Tombs)

--Mutianyu Great Wall: at  This less-crowded section of the Great Wall is a pleasant drive 90km NE of Beijing. A cable car taMutianyukes you to a good section (avoiding a very steep climb), where you can walk along the wall, through the watch towers and enjoy superb views as it snakes across the hills and mountains. You can return by cable car, walk down or walk along the wall for about an hour to descend by chairlift. Wear good walking shoes and protection from the weather.
--Sacred Way (Ming Tombs): An attractive tree-lined walk which leads to the Ming Tombs, this is bordered by 12 sets each of animal and human statues, and includes the attractive Great Red Gate, housing a stele on the back of a tortoise, and marble memorial archway.

Day 4
Place & Transport: Beijing to Xian
Todays Activities: Hotel to airport Transfer (Beijing), Airport to Hotel Transfer (Xian), Hutong Tours in Rickshaw, Temple of Heaven
Meals: Breakfast, Chinese Lunch
--Hutong Tours in Rickshaw: A maze of historic alleyways and old single storey traditional courtyard houses, now fast disappearing. Dotted around the hutong are the Drum and Bell Towers, Kindergarten, Tea House, and local peoples houses. Your tour includes a visit with a local family.
--Temple of Heaven: One of the most famous sites in Beijing, this is Ming architecture at its best: beautiful, controlled, and highly symbolic. The surrounding gardens are full of interesting activity, particularly weekend mornings. Wear good walking shoes and protection from the weather.

Day 5
Place & Transport: Xian
Todays Activities: Huaqing Hot Spring(inludes Chiang Kai Chek Quaters), Terracotta Warriors(include golf carts), Evening Show at Tang Yuegong

--Huaqing Hot Spring(inludes Chiang Kai Chek Quaters): At the foot of Mt Lishan between XiˇŻan and the Terracotta warriors, the early Emperors and their concubines loved it here. Famous for ancient romances, and more recently the Chiang Kai Chek incident, you can enjoy the appealing gardens with their lakes, pools, halls, pavilions and baths, and of course, the hot springs. A cable car goes to the top of the mountain, and thereˇŻs a lively show most evenings, on a stage that floats on one of the lakes.
--Terracotta Warriors(include golf carts): Discovered accidentally in 1974, this incredible army of over 7000 soldiers, archers, horses and chariots in full battle array has guarded Emperor Qins tomb since 210BC. Each figure is unique, and the painstaking repair and excavation continues in 3 pits which are protected inside huge hangars. 1.5 hours from Xian, there is also an excellent museum and film about the history of the vaults. Photos (no flash) are allowed. Wear comfortable walking shoes.
--Evening Show: The show that presents the palace dances and sings in the Tang Dynasty when Xian was the capital of ancient China.

Day 6

Todays Activities: Shaanxi Historical Museum, Forest of Stone Steles Museum, Xian City Wall

--Shaanxi Historical Museum: The history of Shaanxi is said to be the history of China, and this museum is quite simply one of the nations best. Four major galleries in large, Tang-style buildings house a vast and impressive collection, beautifully displayed. Most of the item labels are in English, although some other information on the exhibitions is not, but your guide can help here. Wear comfortable walking shoes.
--Forest of Stone Steles Museum: A fascinating collection of inscribed stone tablets (steles), from very ancient to quite modern (Han-Qing Dynasties, 206BC-1911). All kinds of calligraphies and scripts tell stories, poems, classics, reports from around the Empire. Other exhibits include early sculptures and objects from Imperial tombs. This was once a Confucian temple, and the architecture and grounds are well worth a visit on their own account.
--Xian City Wall: It is a major landmark, and the best preserved, as well as the oldest and largest of the city defence systems in China.You also can bike along the city wall (the rental fee is included).

Todays Activities: The Potala Palace, The Jokhang Temple, Barkhor Street

--The Potala Palace: The Potala Palace, which is now on the list of Chinese national key protected cultural relics, is the most valuable storehouse in Tibet. It is a huge treasure house for materials and articles of Tibetan history, religion, culture and arts. The Palace is widely known for the precious sculptures, murals, scripture, Buddha figures, murals, antiques, and religious jewelry treasured up, they are of great cultural and artistic value. In 1994, the Potala Palace was declared the United Nations World Cultural Heritage site.Perched upon the Marpo Ri Hill, 130 meters above the Lhasa valley, it is the greatest monumental structure in Tibet.
--The Jokhang Temple: Constructed in the 7th century AD to house the statues of Buddha that princesses Bhrikuti from Nepal and Wen Cheng from Tang Dynasty China brought as gifts for their future husband, King Songtsan Gampo. The temple has been enlarged many times over the centuries and now also houses statues of King Songtsan Gambo and his two famous foreign brides. However, the original statue of Jowo Sakyamuni Buddha that Princess Wen Cheng brought from Chang an over 1300 years ago is definitely its most sacred and famous possession, and is perhaps the most venerated religious artifact in all of Tibet. The temple, a splendid four-floor building facing west under a gilded rooftop, is located on Barkhor Square in the center of the old section of Lhasa.
--Barkhor Street: The Barkhor is the oldest street in Lhasa as well as the center of old Lhasa and remains very traditional. It is a place where Tibetan culture, economy, religion and arts are assembled.

Day 9
Place & Transport: Lhasa
Todays Activities: Sera Monastery, Drepung Monastery, Norbulingka

--Sera Monastery: It is known as one of the three greatest monasteries of Tibet. As one of the three main monasteries of Lhasa, it is here that the monks "famous daily debates" take place.
--Drepung Monastery: Drepung Monastery lies in west of Lhasa under Mt. Gambo Utse, clustered round by the black mountain, its white grand buildings shining under the sunlight. Built in 1416, it is considered as one of the largest monasteries in the six principle monasteries of Gelu Sect in China. Drepung Monastery used to be the living palace of Dalai Lamas before the reconstruction of Potala palace (after the 5th Dalai Lamas was bestowed by Qing emperor Qianlong).
--Norbulingka: Norbulingka means "Jeweled Garden". It was constructed as a summer palace for the Dalai Lama and later served the whole governmental administration.

Day 10
Place & Transport: Lhasa to Gyantze
Todays Activities: Yomdrok Lake, The Palgor Chorten
Meals: Breakfast, Chinese Lunch
--Yomdrok Lake: It lies within the boundary of Nankartse county, on the north bank of the Yarlung Tsangpo River, Lhokha Prefecture, surrounded by mountains. Beautiful Holy lake which everybody is looking forward to.
--The Palgor Chorten: Pelkhor Choede (Kumbum), also named Palcho Monastery, is very different from other monasteries. Built as a Tibetan monastery, its structural style is very unique, reputed as the lord of Tibetan stupas. In addition, it is famous for the architecture, sculpture, and mural painting art. It lies about 230 kilometers (143 miles) south of Lhasa and 100 (62 miles) east of Shigatse at the foot of Dzong Hill.

Day 11
Place & Transport: Gyantze to Shigatse
Todays Activities: Tashilunpo Monastery, The New Palace of Panchen Lama
Meals: Breakfast, Chinese Lunch
--Tashilunpo Monastery: Painted in red and white, the buildings in the kloster stand closely together in terraced rows, offering a grand and majestic view. Tashilunpo Kloster represents the Tibetan super architecture art in the Last Tibetan spirit. The Kloster attracts thousands of Buddhists and tourists from domestic and abroad to travel and worship every year.
--The New Palace of Panchen Lama: Located in the south of Tashilunpo monastery(20 minutes walk)The Summer Palace was built for the 10th Panchan in 1954.

Day 12
Place & Transport: Shigatse to Lhasa
Meals: Breakfast, Chinese Lunch
Detailed Itinerary: After having a breakfast we will drive back to Lhasa. Enjoy the grassland views on the way. A free afternoon is available for you to explore more of Lhasa, to revisit those shops or just catch up on your rest.

Day 13
Place & Transport: Lhasa to Chongqing
Todays Activities: Hotel to airport Transfer (Lhasa), Airport to Hotel Transfer (Chongqing)
Meals: Breakfast
Detailed Itinerary: Your time is your own, until you are ready to be transferred to the airport for your flight to Chongqing. On arrival, you will be met and transferred to the hotel. The rest of the day is free to make your own arrangements.

Day 14
Place & Transport: Chongqing to Yangtze
Todays Activities: Cruise pier Transfer (Chongqing), Panda Room in Chongqing Zoo, Goose Neck Park, Ciqikou Old Town, Departs Chongqing at 10:00pm.
Meals: Breakfast, Chinese Lunch
--Panda Room in Chongqing Zo Here you can see Giant pandas, Lesser pandas, Golden hair monkeys, South China Tigers and some other national protected animals.
--Goose Neck Park: Goose Neck Park has a good view of the city and the roiling Yangtze River. A great mural of the Yangtze River shows the pre-dam water levels and elevation marks signifying the displacement of the local population, as well as the land area that has been and will be covered when the dam is completed. Originally the river was 100 meters above sea level; it is now 150m and will be at 175m in 2009. It is a useful point of interest prior to a Yangtze River cruise.
--Ciqikou Old Town: Street of Hundreds Years old. Take a walk to Ciqikou Old Street where you can see local shops, old wooden houses, old pier, tea houses, and local Sichuan street performance and so on.

Day 15
Place & Transport: Yangtze
Todays Activities: Shore excursion to Fengdu Ghost City (8:00-10:00am).
Meals: Breakfast, Chinese Lunch, Chinese Dinner
--Fengdu: is where the devil lives, according to Chinese legend. They say that spirits go to heaven, and evil goes to Fengdu. The town is overlooked by Ming Shan Hill, home of Tianzi, the King of the Dead. The whole place has an eerie feel to it with deserted streets, tower blocks, empty shops and banks. The only people here are those who make a living from visiting cruise boats.

Day 16
Place & Transport: Yangtze
Todays Activities: Shore excursion to Shennong Stream(1:30pm-5:30pm).
Meals: Breakfast, Chinese Lunch, Chinese Dinner
--Shennong Stream: is another tributary of the Yangtze River, and its fast-flowing, crystal clear water runs southwards through deep gorges. The stream races past large and small karst caves, flocks of swallows, sheer cliffs, deep gorges, waterfalls, three-colored springs, rapids, the ancient plank path, a suspended coffin in the cliff, groups of ancient tombs and marvelous karst formations.

Day 17
Place & Transport: Yangtze to Yichang to Shanghai
Todays Activities: Cruise pier Transfer (Yichang), Airport Transfer (Yichang), Airport to Hotel Transfer (Shanghai), Shore excursion to The Three Gorges Dam Site.
Meals: Breakfast, Chinese Lunch
--Three Gorges Dam: the largest water conservancy project ever undertaken by man and it has been a dream for several generations of Chinese people. The construction of the dam formally began in 1994. The body of the dam was completed in 2003, and the whole construction will be competed in 2009. It will be 2,335 meters long, 185 meters high, 18 meters wide on the top and 130 meters wide at the bottom.The tourists can get access to the top of the dam and enjoy different kinds of photo opportunities.

Day 18
Place & Transport: Shanghai
Todays Activities: Oriental Pearl TV Tower, Shanghai City History Exhibition, Xintiandi

--Oriental Pearl TV Tower: Standing by the Huangpu River with 468 meters high, Oriental Pearl TV Tower is the highest TV Tower in Asia (up to the last floor to see Shanghai scenery).It is a new landmark of Shanghai in 21st century.
--Shanghai City History Exhibition: A fascinating and enjoyable creation of old Shanghai beneath the Oriental Pearl Tower. You are in the streets of the old city, hearing the sounds and seeing imaginative scenes that use life-size or scale models to show local history from the Chinese view: foreign merchants, opium wars, the fun life of farmers and traditional stores, bars, stock exchange, court scenes and beheadings - youll need a couple of hours to really enjoy.
--Xintiandi: Rejuvenated old quarter, with lots of cafes, quirky and upmarket shops, western food and close to the major hotels

Day 19
Place & Transport: Shanghai
Todays Activities: Yuyuan Garden, Pujiang Cruise(from South bund to Yangpu Bridge)
Meals: Breakfast, Chinese Lunch
--Yuyuan Garden: In the centre of Shanghai next to the Yuyuan Bazaar, this exquisite old 5-acre garden is famous for its design. The paths wander across bridges, past rockeries and miniature lakes, and through pretty halls and pavilions. The trees and shrubs are planted with an eye to providing charming views, and a sense of peace and harmony.
--Pujiang Cruise(from South bund to Yangpu Bridge): A Huangpu River Cruise is one of the best ways to see both old and new Shanghai.
