Legend of Tibet

Day 1: LHASSA
Arrive at Lhassa - Repos dacclimatation
Arrive at Lhassa, be met by our local guide at the airport. Transfer to the hotel and acclimatize yourself to the high altitude in the afternoon. Overnight at the hotel. Dinner is free.

Day 2: LHASSA
Potala Palace - Jokhang Temple - Barkhor Street
Have breakfast at hotel, visit Potala Palace, it is located on the Red Hill of Lhasa, Tibet. Destroyed by lightning and war, Potala Palace had been rebuilt by the Fifth Dalai Lama in 1645. Since then, Potala Palace has become the seat of Dalai Lamas and also the political center of Tibet. Then visit Jokhang Temple with an area of 25,100 square meters, it is the ultimate pilgrimage destination for Tibetan Pilgrims. After lunch, promenade at Barkhor Street, it is a very ancient round street surrounding the Jokhang Temple and the Tibetan people are always proud of it. As a symbol of Lhasa, this street is also a must-see place for the tourists. Dinner is free. Overnight at the hotel B+L

Day 3 and 4 : LHASSA
Free at leisure..

Day 5: LHASSA - GYANTSE
Drive to Gyantse - Yamdrok Yumtso Lake - Palkhor Monastery
Have breakfast at hotel, drive to Gyantse. On the way, visit Yamdrok Yumtso Lake lies to the south of Yarlong Tsangpo River in the Shannan Region of Tibet. The lake is one of three holy lakes in Tibet. Have lunch on the way, and then visit Palkhor Monastery, also named Palcho Monastery, is very different from other monasteries. It lies about 230 kilometers (143 miles) south of Lhasa. Overnight at the hotel. B+L

Day 6: GYANTSE - SHIGATSE
Drive to Shigatse - Tashilhunpo Monastery
Have breakfast at hotel, drive to Shigatse, also named Xigatse, means the fertile land. Covering an area of over 3875 square kilometers (about 1496 square miles), this frontier city is the second largest in Tibet. Have lunch on the way, then visit Tashilhunpo Monastery, also called the Heap of Glory, the monastery is located at the foot of Drolmari (Taras Mountain), Shigatse. Founded by the First Dailai Lama in 1447, the monasterys structure was expanded by the Fourth and successive Panchen Lamas. Overnight at the hotel. B+L

Day 7 : SHIGATSE - LHASSA
Drive to Lhassa
Drive to Lhassa. Have lunch on the way. Overnight at the hotel. B+L

Day 8 : LHASSA
Transfer to airport and take flight to next destination.

Our Services

We will provide a cell phone for you when you arrive in China. Furthermore, we will recharge 50RMB for the phone. In that case, you can contact with us when you meet any problem during your stay in China. This is a special service of Nihao Tour.

We promise that our guide will work at least 8 hours per day. The service will start NOT later than 9:00 o’clock in the morning and end NOT early than 17:00 o’clock in the afternoon.

We promise that we do NOT arrange any meals at tourist restaurant. Except, there is no other choice, such as the day of visiting the Great Wall, etc.

With regard to the food : we will provide some special local food，you can choose which one do you like. Then your tour operator will arrange this in your program.
