Guiyang Longdong Bao International Airport (KWE) is located about ten kilometers (6.2 miles) from the city center. As an international airport, flights connect from here to Hong Kong and Bangkok as well as many Chinese cities including Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Chengdu, Haikou, Shenzhen, Kunming, Zhuhai, Fuzhou, Guilin, Xiamen, Nanjing, Shantou, Shenyang, Dalian, Qingdao, Xian, Chongqing, Nanchang and Hangzhou. A new route operates between Guiyang and Macau and is available every Monday and Thursday.
There is an airport shuttle bus available. The bus runs daily every 30 minutes from 8:30 to 18:30. The bus fare is CNY 10. You can catch the bus from the CAAC Ticket Office at the junction of Zunyi Lu and Qingyun Lu.
If you take a taxi, the fare is about CNY 50 between the airport and the city center.
By Train
Guiyang acts as the transportation center of Guizhou Province. Transportation links depend mainly on the rail system. Four railways pass through Guiyang connecting to Chongqing, Chengdu, Liuzhou of Guangxi, Kunming and Zhuzhou and of course major cities such as Beijing, Shanghai, Nanjing, Hangzhou, Guangzhou, Wuhan, Zhanjiang and Beihai and so on.
Also running from Guiyang are trains running to tourist destinations such as Fanjing Mountain (between Guiyang and Liupanshui City), Huangguoshu (between Guiyang and Yuping County), Zunyi (between Guiyang and Zunyi) and between Guiyang and Tongzi County, Kaili City and Duyun City. Also Train Maotai (between Guiyuang and Beijing) and Train Huaxi (between Guizhou and Kunming) are available here.
Guiyang Railway Station is located in downtown Guiyang. From the station, buses No. 1 and 2 are available for your convenience.

By Road
Road transportation in Guiyang is quite convenient as both national highways and expressways link every corner of Guiyang.
Guiyang Tourist Bus Station
Location: No. 278, Beijing Lu
The Tourist Bus Station opposite Qianling Dasha (Qianling Building) deals with tourist bus services only and operates from 7:00 to 20:00. Buses from here mainly serve tourist attractions in Guizhou such as the Huangguoshu Waterfall (two hours), the Dragon Palace Cave Scenic Spot, Zhijin Cave Scenic Spot and the Fanjing Mountain.
It is important to check the exact time of your bus as, though some buses run every thirty minutes, some run only once a day.
You can get to the station via public bus Nos. 1, 2, 10, 12, 13, 16, 23, 61 and 87.
Guiyang Coach Terminal
Location: No. 32, YanĄŻan Xi Lu
Coaches here are mainly bound for cities and counties inside Guizhou Province, as well as neighboring cities and provinces, Sichuan, Yunnan, Guangxi, Zhejiang, Fujian, Guangdong and Chongqing. Generally the coaches leave hourly.
Coach Station next to the Guiyang Railway Station
Location: next to the Guiyang Railway Station
Coaches from the station run between Guiyang and Anshun, Huajiang, Xingyi, Anlong, Zunyi, Duyun, Kaili, Liuzhi, Bijie, as well as cities outside Guizhou such as Shenzhen, Nanning, Dongguan, Chongqing and Zhanjiang. Couches run hourly from 8:00 to 16:00.
Guizhou Provincial Stadium Coach Station
Location: No. 338, Zunyi Lu
Coaches here run between Guiyang and Zunyi, Anshun, Kaili and Duyun. They are available from 7:00 in the morning and run every thirty minutes. |
