Anshun is a city located in the mid-west of Guizhou Province and is 90 kilometers (about 56 miles) from the capital city Guiyang. Getting to and from Anshun is now more convenient due to the opening of Huangguoshu Airport in 2006.

The road extends in all directions: the first speedway in southwest of China Guizhou-Huangguoshu Speedway offers great convenience to tourists. A two-hour drive takes tourists from Guiyang to Anshun. Getting around by train is also very convenient due to Guiyang-Kunming Railway Line which runs through Anshun City. The Huangguoshu Tourist Special Line shuttles between Guiyang and Anshun every day.

Within Anshun, buses are clean and there are about 15 bus lines in the city. You can catch a bus at any station to reach the main streets in the city. Moreover, there are about 500 taxis in Anshun City which are fairly priced and safe to use.

In Anshun City, it is convenient to travel by taxi. Taxis can be hailed anywhere simply by putting your arm out. The taxi fare differs in different period of time: during 00:00-07:00 the base price is CNY8 for the beginning two kilometers and then every additional kilometer charges additional CNY1.2; during 07:00-24:00 the base price is CNY3 for the beginning two kilometers and every additional kilometer over 2 kilometers and below 8 kilometers charges CNY1, over 8 kilometers charges CNY1.2 and five-minute delay will be counted as one kilometers charge.
