Sanjiang County is a multi-nationality county with main inhabitants of Dong Ethnic Minority. The county attracts many domestic and foreign tourists with various nationalities ethnic styles, cultures, craftworks, architecture, and beautiful scenic spots, fresh and comfortable mountain climate. The annual quantity of tourists to the county is more than 220,000 and the county is famous for ethnic architecture, which integrates the wisdom of Dong Ethnic Minority. The tourism resources of Dong Ethnic Minority Autonomous County have two advantages: One is the prominent cultural tourism products represented by the culture of Dong Ethnic Minority. Sanjiang County is the only Dong Ethnic Minority Autonomous County in Guangxi Province and has thick atmosphere of the culture of Dong Ethnic Minority and full-bodied ethnic styles; with strict structure and beautiful appearance, the civilian residence of Dong Ethnic Minority, village gate, drum-tower, alcove and Roofed Bridge have distinctive attraction and impress many domestic and foreign scholars, experts and tourists. The other is that Sanjiang Dong Ethnic Minority Autonomous County takes an important position in Chinas planned tourism lines. Sanjiang Chengyang Bridge Dong Ethnic Minority Culture Tourism Zone is a main tourism line in Guangxi Province: Guilin-Longsheng-Sanjiang-Rongshui-Liuzhou, etc. (belonging to Great Guilin Tourism Circle). It is an important tourism zone in the Ethnic Folk-custom Tourism Line of Northern Guangxi and an important one in the cross-provincial tourism line of Guizhou-Sanjiang-Longsheng-Guilin-Hezhou-Guangzhou under the tourism planning of Chinas Development of West Regions.
 

Drum Tower
Drum-Tower which located at Mapang village, about 25 kilometers to the north of Sanjiang county, is the masterpiece of ethnic architecture of the villages of Dong nationality, the great and grave drum-tower with nine levels is more than 20 meters high. There are four indoor pillars and a main hall with a wallboard beautiful Dong country landscape on inside the tower. The tower have three to a dozen of stories, on each of which decorated with bright color paintings presenting dragons and phoenix, flowers, legendary figures other patterns. 
 
 
Chengyang Wind and Rain Bridge
There are more than 100 bridges in Sanjiang, among which the Chengyang Wind-and-Rain Bridge reputed the best. The Chengyang Wind-and-rain Bridge was built in 1916. It is a wooden-structured bridge with no nails and with a long corridor, on which two or more pavilion structures are built. It is supported by five abutments in the river and is paved with wood boards. There are five exquisite pavilions built on the body of the bridge, which represents the special architectural style of Dongs. The bridge is 75 meters long, 10 meters high and more than three meters wide.
 
 
Du Dong
A remote Dong village nestled in the mountainous area on the very borderland of Guizhou, Hunan and Guangxi,48km from Sanjiang city. Shelter bridges, stockade villages and rice terrace features largely in the vicinity.

Dudong was a centre for guerilla action against the Japanese during the 1940s, and its newly built drum tower is the highest in the region.
